Attacking: Ranged Weapons
The ABS features a system called Range Weapons. You can make weapons ranged like so:
RANGE_WEAPONS[Weapon_ID] = [Character Set Name, Move Speed, Animation, Ammo, Range, Mash Time(in seconds), Kick Back(in tiles),Animation Suffix,number of animations in random]
RANGE_WEAPONS[17] = ["Arrow", 5, 4, 35, 10, 3, 1]
This is usefull for bows. The above example is used in the demo for bows.
This is an another example;
RANGE_WEAPONS[17] = ["Arrow", 5, 4, 35, 10, 3, 1,"_bow",2]
Now when the player uses the bow, the script will look for "characterSetName_bow1" or "characterSetName_bow2". You remove the last number(in this case 2) and the script will just look for "characterSetName_bow".
